Health Management Associates (HMA) was an organization that provided people, processes, capital, and subject matter expertise to hospitals and physician practices per their individual needs or governing requirements. HMA’s annual conference brings together hundreds of industry executives from health plans, providers, state and federal government, community-based organizations, and others serving Medicaid, Medicare, and vulnerable populations. HMA was founded in 1985 by medical practice managers as a forum to exchange ideas and information.
